4/8th is half. 5/8 is 1/8th over half. Shall I guess you're Canadian and never had to learn the Imperial measurement system? I know what you're going through. Being a mechanic for five years was the only reason I had to learn. It's okay. The others may want to make you feel dumb but I had to go through it to.
