You have to start by being the model. You exhibit the good manners and show them the way

Just accept that kids are kids and parents are much older than kids and know more about most things. You can raise a rude obnoxious little kid with no manners and tell yourself that you did the right thing because the kid never got mad at you. But how silly is that?
Telling a kid to thank someone for a gift is not a suggestion. Make it an order. If a kid has to give the gift back if they are not polite enough to thank the giver, well, they are at least learning that these are things that decent people do in society. They have to do it every single time. Not because they want to, but because the more they do it, the more it will become a habit.

Get used to it. That's them acting out. Just because they say they think you're bad doesn't mean they really mean it. If you give in, they'll never learn. Part of parenting is being a leader. If you've ever had a job, and I'm sure you have, you know that you don't always like what they have to say. It's just part of it. If you give up, they'll never learn to be good people. They'll think that yelling and talking back is okay. It will cause problems when they go to school. You're the adult, not them. Be strong and stick to your guns when you know you're right.

set a good example. When they ask for something without saying please, reply with "how do we ask" when you hand them something and you want them to say "thank you", hold onto the item until they do. When they sneeze you say "what do you say?". Most children think their parents are bad when the parent corrects them, so they think you bad, that's OK if they learn their manners. And congratulations on you atheism...I guess...don't know why you added that.....They think dirt is food??????????? First thing you need to do is FEED THEM! Then work on manners.

You need to realize you're the boss here. You have an obligation to teach them proper manners and behavior. You're the adult here.

Be a good example yourself. Demonstrate how to be polite, and they will learn from you.
Be cheerful and positive when they do things right and thank them for being polite.
You could also wait until they say "please" before giving them something that they want.

in many cases at school you're taught with reference to the historic past of your u . s . So in the united kingdom, our historic past is tied up with white people simply by fact they're what our u . s ., and our neighbouring international places, are in many cases made up of. Our historic past is quite often approximately being invaded via or going to conflict with different white international locations. whilst watching slavery, it relatively is simply by fact on the full at that factor in historic past became into specifically black people
