Depending on what kind of pain you are dealing with, you might need to see a pain management doctor. They can prescribe meds to help you on an as needed to daily basis. If you can, try to do some cardio. Walking is good. Something that gets the heart pumping, and clears your mind. If you feel you are suffering from depression due to the pain talk to the doctor about that too. Get on an antidepressant. It'll make a difference. I have also found a forum that is those dealing with the same problem/pain that I am. It's helpful in finding treatment, getting advice, venting and sometimes just knowing you aren't alone is helpful.
