I was wondering if he is supposed to know (like during the rehersal) or if it's supposed to be a suprise. I really want him to tear-up when he sees me coming down the isle to that song.

If you want it to be a surprise, then surprise him, but there's no tradition that says he's "not supposed" to know...

sweetie its you and your husbands to be day...you should do whatever makes the two of you happy and if thats walking down the isle together then you should definately go ahead with that! Many wedding traditions are outdated and people think they are set in stone...for exampleI spent the night before the wedding with my husband and it was so wonderful to just have that time together before the wedding and we got married on the beach so didnt go for the tradtional bride and groom should be apart for the night before the wedding and should be married in a church and its the best decisions we made =) Have a wonderful day and I think its a lovely idea for you to walk down the isle together

its kind of his decison too. I say kind of lightly..lol for my upcoming wedding I played 5 songs and had him go through them and say if he liked the song or not. He does not get to pick my song out right but I let him feel like he had some type of *eventhough small* say so :D..

All that being said its your day and whatever you say goes. If you dont want him to hear the song then dont let him..

He going to tear up no matter what when he sees you coming down the asile.

Unless you're not using the traditional wedding march, he will most certainly know the song. He may or may not "tear-up", but you can bet your little booty that he'll have a lump in his throat as big as a grapefruit. He won't be able to see anybody but you. You will take his breath away, my dear. And I hope that 30 years down the road you STILL take his breath away.God bless your marriage, hon..

Yes why not? It's The Dress He's Not Suppose To See. He'll tear up enough just seeing you and knowing you're his from this day forth.

It's your wedding and it's up to you. I didn't want to see my wedding ring before the ceremony. I wanted something to be a surprise. He didn't see my dress before I walked down the aisle in it. If you don't want him to hear the song, don't have him with when you're talking to the musician(s) about the music.

It's up to you whether you want him to know or not. There's no "rule" against him knowing, or not knowing. I talked to my husband about it b/c I wanted his opinion (my mom and I were arguing about which one would be better). But it's completely up to you!
