I made stew from stew meat, potatoes, carrots and beans yesterday. Last night I poured it up in a big bowl and left it out on the counter all night. Is it okay to eat? It was about 68 degrees in here last night. Thanks for your help.

I have a sanatation license, and if I were you I would throw it away, meat cooked or raw should be kept 40* or colder. Bringing it back to a boil may not kill all the bacteria that is grown in it, and trust me if you had a food borne illness before you sure wouldn't want another one. Throw it away, and keep it in the fridge next time
Angellhimm, if you own a restaruant and would still eat that, I would never want to be served at your place, and if you would serve that at your place, you should be closed down for health violations. Covered or not, you can't let meat sit out all night. Just becuase you don't get sick one time does not mean you're not going to get sick the next time.

It depends on how 'Cool' you keep your house overnight as you sleep.
If your house inside stays like 60 to 65 degrees and No warmer than I think your Stew should be still fine to eat.
My wife and I are terrible at putting Dinners away in the Frigerater. If we know it's gonna be a Cold night like the 30's than we can know for sure our home 'Will' stay at 65 degrees or cooler. (We Never have our Heater on over night.) It goes on-off-on-off all night. Very annoying : ) And the food's still fine to eat.
Just eat it as soon as you get up. Or imediately Frig the Stew when you wake up.

But if you are a person that keeps the house Heater on all night long say at 68 to 73 degrees...........I would Not chance eating your Stew. Trash it.
It's Not worth eating it just because you don't want to waste $$$,,, and then getting the 'Runs' tomorrow (Monday.)

Cooked meat keeps longer than raw so you're in with a chance.
Smell it and if it seems o.k.I'd be happy enough eating it.
68% is warm but not that hot and I wouldn't have thought the bacteria count would have gone that high overnight

No, meat should be kept at 40 degrees or below, or 155 degrees and above. You will take a chance of getting sick.

No, it's not good after left out all night and it could make you sick because meat will spoil if left out all night just like milk does.

As long as the stew was covered over night it should be ok.

That concoction will begin to go bad
within an hour of letting it sit. If you want to be puking your
guts for 3 days, go ahead and try it . Give it to the dogs.

Bin it it is not worth the risk.

If it is only you eating it and you have no money to buy something else then boil it to an inch of its life.

But as said above I personally wouldn't touch it.

I find in most cases that it would be alright if it were fully cooked. But it should be covered in the future. You did not mention whether it was covered or not.

Don't chance it! The kind of sick you'd get if it's bad could kill you.
Throw it out & consider it an expensive lesson learned.
