No, they don't. The fish part may come from the common practice of home gardeners putting a fish underneath the plant roots when planting a started tomato. I imagine the scorpion part comes from someone telling a horror story about finding a scorpion in with fresh tomatoes, and saying they are processed that way all the time. In fact, the tomatoes used are washed and sorted before processing.
As for the "scientist" changing DNA, that is small, for research only, and misunderstood. Most "genetically modified" plants are bred from plants in nature. The same way animals are bred for certain traits, plant breeders do the same. They might find one or two plants with a desirable trait, and breed them to get more, and on and on until it is a marketable number. It doesn't mean some mad scientist is working in a lab adding chemicals to a beaker until "poof" a plant sprouts out of it, glowing with chemicals.
Try to relax, and research things on your own. A healthy skepticism is a good thing. If someone tries to "sell" you an idea, whether it is religion or genetic modification, it is probably wrong. So, go enjoy your pizza.

There are still so many varieties that have no genetic modifications currently . Try ordering form a catalog if not sure. No them genetic retarded ideas haven't reached us yet. But that's all catalog tomatoes that are 100% safe. Maybe the most mainstream tomatoes at the grocery store could be mutant. Many types of tomatoes can be available from all sorts of catalogs that have as of yet none of those icky genes added - I know as a fact . THAT AS OF2007 you can still get safe seed with most seed sellers from catalog whether hybrid or not (Even though I like things not entirely too hybridized. I might not be able to say the same thing next year so all I can is "stock up" ! Yes I would beware genetic mutant garbage ! = If scientists are bragging about this genetic additive being added and they usually are bragging and advocating; thus revealing the lunatic item !

I think you people are not aware to what extent genetic
modification has taken place. In one of my last studies,
I found that there is now NO traditional soybean seeds, but
all have been genetically modified. A large part of corn,
and other grains have been GMd. Canada is the largest
producer of GM soybeans and other crops.
Most of the land in the Amazon has been changed to
cultivate grains...the seeds of which are GMd and applied
with Monsanto Round-up ready pesticides (that are IN THE
SEED. Be aware people!

That is a bunch of bull. Don't give it another thought. Tomatoes have gone through many changes through breeding just like all fruits and vegetables.
