My skin really itches a lot when I'm very warm or hot, even more so if I do some aerobic exercise & start to sweat. Why is this?

Yes I do have dry skin, it only happens when I get very warm or hot & it's terrible when I sweat after exercise. If i have a bath it stops it immediately but after a bath my skin is actually dryer than before. I'm drinking a lot more water these days & my skin was healing greatly but sometimes when i turn the heating up a bit 'cos it's freezing here in the UK, I forget to turn it off & then the itching starts again.

I had a colonic hydrotherapy recently, which hydrated my skin a lot, the therapist said that I was dehydrated & that my skin is the main excreter of toxins, so if heat is making me sweat (but not a noticeable enough amount of sweat) then it could be that my sweat is full of toxins at the moment & maybe that's why it itches when I get hot.

When you get hot the blood rises to the surface. This mixed with any perspiration can cause itching. Also when you have a hot bath you get the same itching effect.

Yeah, it's dry skin, the hot water sucks all the moisture out of your skin as well as the cold weather. Either start using lotion or don't take such a hot shower.

To soothe the itching, rub a raw tomato on it. I suffer with heat rash in the summer and it always works for me. (cut the tom in half)
