My catholic spouse prayed for me (her atheist husband) and we are getting a divorce. Life is much better now.

What exactly are you praying for for your spouse that hasn't worked out? Is it worth getting a divorce over? God hates divorce. (Malachi 2:16)

Are you praying for the right thing? Are you working in harmony with that prayer? Maybe in addition to praying for him, you could pray for you. Pray for you to have wisdom as to what to do in the situation, wisdom as to whether you have changes to make yourself, pray for endurance in the situation.

Yes, and OH ABSOLUTELY YES!
From a christian standpoint, remember free will. God isn't going to override that, and if your husband isn't willing to work on things, then no praying is going to change him.

I wish you all the very best of happiness and blessing in your future.
