Holly Marie--I stand corrected, you are absolutely right! It's 1 Corinthians 3:13. Sorry.

I think you meant 1 Corinthians 3:13
The Living Bible says: There is going to come a time of testing at Christ's judgement day to see what kind of material each builder has used ((for the foundation of their faith)). Everyone's work will be put thru the fire so that all can see whether or not it keeps its value, and what was really accomplished.

Ought to be an interesting time for some folks.

Well if you want to know, simply at your essence you are mind so the works is within the essence that your soul projects. While the soul lives on what you are in this world may not, depends on what you do in this world, if you are temporal how much of yourself can be salvaged by the soul? If you have succumb to the trails of life generally what constitutes you as a person is temporal, but yet the mind lives on, even if what was done has no continuance generally.

Imo each man is an allegory, potential life that must become real, if you fail to become real through the fires which can manifest your realness then being temporal you'll be as an image that has no continuity. Fire has always been refinement - suffering - experience that refines to make you genuine or like gold tried in fire. People don't understand that hell is the experience you live, since all of your life is as a body of karma. It can be said that you are the work of the soul, the fire will reveal it's realness.

Please pray for Max Rafael Waller of Sam's Club 6625 and lives in Pacoima. A retired LAPD Officer trying to save his private security contract with Sam's Club/Wal-Mart began an investigation involving the Los Angeles Police and San Fernando Police Departments. The reason: potential predator. A rumor like this has destroyed lives and could kill his mother. Management and coworkers are trying to find legal methods of getting him fired or create a work environment so that he would quit and not retired like he said when we spoke on the phone and visit to an undisclosed place.

Please double check your scripture reference. My Bible says something totally different for that one. Try 1 Cor. 3:13. I think it means that everyone's works will be tested and the reason behind the work, being of Godly nature or of evil in nature, will be revealed to all who want to know. Fire also purifies, changes the chemistry of certain things, and strengthens some things along with the complete destruction of other things. Interesting scientific way of proving a biblical truth, isn't it? I leave you with "food for thought".

The only works of value to you in the next life are the one's that endure the fire....meaning spiritual works..Example if you feed the poor, It is a good work here on the earth but if those that you fed perish then you good works perish with them...If you lead the same man to God and he has eternal life your works have survied the fire and endure forever.

It means watch your p's and q's cause the time's gonna come when everything you did, even the secret and/or nasty stuff is gonna be a secret no more.

And the fire is the fire of judgement. Your soul will be tried and tempered in the fire of judgement. Hopefully you won't be like the bum sword and crack, but like the well-made one you'll emerge stronger and better for the purpose.

I'm using a Oxford Annotated bible, and that isn't the verse. In mine it is:
"And we speak of these things in words not taught by the Spirit, interpreting spiritual things to those who are spiritual."

I believe that verse refers to Judgment Day, at which time, all of our actions are to be brought to light and everyone will know what kind of life we have lived.
