Having had those attacks in the past, I found Gaviscon helped.
Also to avoid the attackes, stay away from grease, ie: sausauge, bacon. Orange juice as well triggered mine.
Had mine out so good luck to you until then

Sorry but nothing does. I had mine removed about 4 years ago.
Everything is fine now. I sympathise with you as I never felt such pain
when having an attack. It went on for hours, sometimes for 2 days.
In the end I paid privately as I couldn't stand it any longer and it was
ruining my life. It was worth every penny. The NHS hospital had a 12/18 month waiting list but I believe this is down to 6months now.
addiitional details. 5/7/07 - I tried everything advised to me with diet
I got so desperate I was hardly eating anything. I lost 2 stone - not a reccomended way to diet I assure you. I avoided fats like the plague but in
the end almost anything started it off, there was no rhyme or reason. I
had stones stuck on a few occasions but was never considered an emergency. When I went to A and E I was give Pethadine for the pain.
Beg borrow or steal and get yourself dealt with. I borrowed the money
it was the best thing I ever did.

Have you seen your doctor about this?
The only sure way to get rid of gallstone attacks is to have the gallbladder removed. The surgery is outpatient and it is simply done laproscopically. You can eat a normal diet afterwards concentrating on eating non-fat items.
Ultrasound is a temporary solution because the stones always return, then you're back where you started.
I had my gallbladder removed in February 1994 after having several bad attacks in 1993. I am much better now.

Stay away from any fats and drink water only. I just had my gallbladder removed and now I can eat anything. I only had 3 attacks before my gallbladder was removed but that was enough. I even had a tummy tuck at the same time since I was going under. Its been a week and there is little pain nothing compared to the gallbladder attacks.

I know how you feel, try not to eat fatty foods, especially fried, cheese, high fat content, but you need to see a doctor, I ended up being in hospital three times and having jaundice, the pain is unbearable but it won't go away on it's own.

the dr has a way to desolve the stones with a lazer, that is painless in most cases. but the longer u wait to get them under control, the worse the pain will get. dont let this scare u. but get it done or the attacks wont go away. god bless

caution: do no longer Use a Gall Bladder Flush! i do not forget that Roxie change into properly meaning even as she reported the oil and lemon juice gall bladder flush, in spite of the undeniable fact that this isn't any longer a sturdy theory. Flushes regularly are controversial (and we do not opt to get into that argument the following), yet more effective importantly they could properly be risky given the dimensions of your gall stones. you don't desire a clinical emergency on suitable of the soreness that you're presently experiencing.

i hear you - had some myself...if it's not time for surgery look online for a drink - can't remember what it's called, but it's suppose to flush the "sluge" out of the gallbladder and i have had friends that swear by it...i got a blockage and had to have mine out before i could try it - if you can avoid the surgery though - try...not terrible surgery, but your digestive syetem is NEVER the same...some have loose bowels...some constapation...and nausea and vomitting when eating fat...good luck...don't avoid treatment though...very hard on your liver!
