i got mine out at the same age (only 18 now) and i was scared too but really it not as bad a it seems they should keep her on pain killers throw the surgery. when she wakes up tell her to try not to more that much at first but she might need to go to the bathroom so she would need help to get to it in is more of a outpatient thing see will go home the same day as long as there doing the Laparoscopic gallbladder surgery with is what i had and she will have four small incision rather than a five to seven inch incision. but like i said she should be home the same day or night, as far as school the most in she might want to stay out for 2 to 3 days but when she going back she should watch what she eats for lunch because in can cause her to get sick or can cause her to have to poop. I hope this helps her out.

It's a simple procedure done laproscopically. She'll be done before she knows it.

They'll put her to sleep and cut four holes in her belly, pulling the gallbladder out through the bellybutton. The other holes are for cutting the gallbladder, observing, and pumping air in. When she wakes up, she will be in some pain, but she will get meds for that. I felt the pain the next day though because I was groggy and sleepy from the anesthesia.

Overnight, the nurses will monitor her vitals every hour while she sleeps.

The nurses will have her move out of bed the next day as soon as possible (with their help). Once they see you can eat, they will let you go home.

When I had my surgery done in 1994, I was home for four weeks. I was 32 then. I'm 44 now.

I had mine removed and it was day surgery. They made 4 little hole around the area. I couldn't lift for about 6 weeks. I am so glad I had it out. No More Attacks. The pains from the gallbladder are so severe. I hope she does well and she will be surprised how good she feels in just a couple days. She should talk to her doctor if she has any other fears. This is just my opinion. I was out of work for 3 weeks but I am older than your sister and also diabetic.

If she is having the laproscopic gb surgery she will have 4 small incisions and will be sore for a few days. I had the surgery done several years ago and it is really no big deal. She will be up and walking that same day but will be sore. Tell her to be sure to hold a pillow against her abdomen when she needs to cough or sneeze. Best wishes to her.

I had mine removed after giving birth to my daughter when I was 17. Mine was done using 4 small insicions around the area. She will be sore for a few days but not much longer than that. As for ways to help her don't let her push herself further than what she can endure. Most likely she will only be in the hospital for a day or so depending on how well she does. Good luck to you and I hope this information has helped.

regardless of if it is your husband's gallbladder this is inflicting the issue, then removing it is going to thoroughly resolve the issue. i'm retired x-ray tech and can't start to make it easier to be attentive to the way many cases i've got x-rayed a gallbladder! in all probability hundreds. The radiologist can tell if the gallbladder is inflicting issues from those x-rays. So, in case your wellbeing practitioner is telling you the surgical treatment will fix issues, you may just about assure that it will artwork. Your husband could be waiting to consume something after his surgical treatment (after he's recuperated). in spite of the incontrovertible fact that, tell him a steak now and lower back is high-quality yet he needs to video demonstrate his ldl cholesterol.
