From my prospective if we are talking about Karma and you are willingly doing it then it can be sad that you are going against the rule that all life is sacred and the sanctity of life must be valued in all ways.
No amount of rhetoric can change the fact that you deprived life because it was inconvenient. You can't make the conclusion that the baby would have a better life, you can't know this and all such thinking is in many ways flawed and of the cultural mindset which is in many regards in error and temporal. Any destruction of an evolving potentiality that should have life and be able to express in this world is depriving what could be. I'd say if you're looking for a reincarnation question the laws would invoke a life where the person who aborted would meet a fate that would be equal to what they prevented to balance the energy within themselves.
But if the person who got an abortion then decided to work towards providing awareness to young females in the effort to help them not fall into the same error or problems they did by our culture and etc, then it can be said that such a person could invoke grace, karma out of the bad to move them forward. In that manner they have save many and covered much. This is applying your experiential knowledge, taking the very thing that enslaved you and making good out of it through prevention.
There s also secondary karma, at times it can be said that sometimes such experiences are done for others, for their development to see if they can pass the test or overcome the laws that they are bound under. If they are complacent towards such a thing that could manifest then they not being against it are actually part of the problem by not speaking out and those who encouraged it, it can be said that they are worst then the person who did it since they had the opportunity to step up but not only failed but did the opposite.

Mourn the passing of what could have been a child, remember that the reasons you choose to terminate this pregnancy are valid to how you feel and think right now, and be joyful when you are ready to start your family sometime in the future. Karma is not in question. Are you a good person? Do you act with kindness and goodwill? When you are completely ready to be a mother, you will know. Don't let your understanding of Karma worry you. on this issue. It isn't necessary.

Depends on why you do it. If you do it because you truly couldn't take care of a child and you knew the child would be better off not being born, I don't think anything bad will happen, personally. If you're one of those people who uses abortion as a form of birth control, then I'd most likely watch my back for karma.

Of course, Karma is relative, even to those who believe in it. There is no garauntee that a specific certain thing is going to occur as a result. HOWEVER, I know of a woman who had an abortion (4th child) and her house burned down, killing the other three.
And I know of one who aborted her third pregnancy and her daughter (whose younger sibling the fets would've become) has never yet forgiven her, and two marriages have fallen apart because of the guilt.

Well I guess it depends on the intention, karma is very dependent on intention as it is on the action. If it was so that the child wouldn't suffer, you probably wouldn't feel as bad an effect as if you were to abort the child simply because you didn't want to be pregnant.

first, It does not matter, you believe it or not.
you will always get the result from what you did.
about Karma, the one who destroy somebody's life will be destroy in the same way. when you take your next rebirth you probably get the same thing.
about the grudge, the new soul who has a chance to be a human will usually mix in the zygote in the very first second. if it knew who has to get its grudge, it will go with that guy and may stop or slow every kind of prosperity in that guy.

I always thought it would be horrible to have an abortion and then some day when I die and go to judgement I'd have to meet him or her and explain to them why i did it.

I suppose you might be aborted in a subsequent lifetime, wouldn't realize it, and be born again after that.
