It's important to recognize that if you never had pains in your life, you would never come to understand that there are pleasures as well.

I do not agree with you that suicide is an act that is going to result in a persons' going to Hell. It sounds like you are in that state right now. The decision to bow out is between you and your maker or your god---whatever or whoever you want to call them. And I just think that a loving compassionate God would not punish someone by sending a soul to a fiery pit if they were so profoundly down that they couldn't handle things anymore.
A lot of folks are going to relate to what you are going through. I don't want to sound like I'm lecturing you about this, but when you say that you have no talent, this is not true. You may want to think that way because of past things that have happened or because you haven't found what makes you happy, but EVERYONE has something to offer. Maybe you could try to relate to what I'm saying by thinking of someone in your same position. Do you judge them as having nothing to give or that things for them could never change?
As far as your dreams being dead, you can make a choice to dream up something else. It could take a while, or just seem like it took forever to find that niche that was right for you, but maybe then, it could come to you faster than you thought possible. Right now you are suffering, just as we all do from time to time. Life is about change, and there is a point of going on if you choose. Try to find that reason you might have for living. I have been where you are and probably will be again, but it doesn't have to be horrible. It does seem unbearable and in that case, it is natural in a way just to want to escape your despair.
Someone once told me to think of it this way----If a person where to go off to school (earth) but because of many difficulties decided to drop out, wouldn't a loving mother or father (God) take them back and love them and send them back when they were ready? Of course, this analogy mostly applies if you believe in reincarnation. But it resonates with me since I just don't think God is a mean, unforgiving, spiteful entity.

Actually, I haven't found where in the Bible it says that you will be sentenced to Hell for killing yourself; that doesn't mean it won't happen, though.
It doesn't sound like a "simple question" you're asking, given all the reasons you've submitted. Stick it out a while longer.
There was a time when I thought everyone I loved would be better off without me. Years later: I have been blessed many times and have actually been a blessing to others. There have been hard times, too, but when I look through grateful eyes, the good outweighs the bad.

I am a catholic and I don't believe it is a sin it's simply ones choice, I also do not believe in hell or that God would punish anyone, If I was to believe what the Bible says literally I would have been committed to the nut house years and years ago, I believe In God only as a compassionate and loving God, and none of that other stuff because I think it's a load of crap for the most part.

suicide is murder....
it is just like killing your neighbor.
but you are just killing yourself instead.
no, you cannot just kill yourself and have God forget about it.
after your death, you and God will have to deal with the matter of your soul and where it will spend eternity.
perhaps your life is such an empty place and there is great anguish because the place where God should be in your life is empty.
God really does love you very much and has a plan for your life.
as you have not done so well with it, don't you think it is about time you gave God a shot at it?

Suicide is another form of murder. Old Testament law, Ten Commandments specifically, "You will not commit murder."
If the Old Testament is to show dis-obedience = sin according to the Law of Righteousness = obedience.
What is the penalty for sin? Death!
Hell can be seen as a prison forever with no maintenance or up keep.

First of all, if you are contemplating suicide, you should immediately call your physician, therapist or minister and tell him or her. Suicide is the result of irrational self-pity and short-sightedness. You will come through this period of depression and go on to live a rewarding life. In the meantime, your physician, therapistand minister can do a lot to help you. Please contact them immediately.
As to you doctrinal question, let's start at the beginning:
God created human kind and retains soverienty over us which entitles him to our obedience.
God created us with a free will to choose between obedience to him and disobedience, because it would have given him less pleasure to commune with mindless automatons. Our love and obedience is meaningful to him precisely because we choose to obey.
Sin is our exercise of choice to disobey God in favor of our own interests.
God is uncompromisingly just, and his justice requires that sin be punished. If he allowed even one sin to go unpunished, his justice would be imperfect.
The punishment for sin is eternal separation from God. Realizing the misery of existence without God will be agonizing, and that agony is described (figuratively, at least to some degree) by the concept(s) of Hell.
Everyone has sinned at least once. For most of us, our sins number in the thousands or millions. Therefore, God must remain separate from us and our sin.
Jesus Christ was the only perfect (i.e., sinless) person. Therefore, Jesus was the only person who did not deserve Hell.
Jesus Christ voluntarily forfeited his right to forego Hell and instead endured the punishement due to all humanity. He assumed all of the responsiblity for all of our sins, satisfying God's requirement of justice.
God is as forgiving as he is just. Since Jesus Christ has already accepted the punishment, God is willing to forgive every person's every sin if they genuinely ask.
God's knowledge is limitless, both in scope and in time. Consequently, he is able to see the future. God knows our sins even before we commit them. He anticipates everything we will ever do.
When God offers to forgive our sins, He is willing to forgive both the sins we have committed in the past and those we will commit in the future (if we ask).
Therefore, if one has genuinely asked for forgiveness for all future sins, all future sins--including suicide--will be forgiven.
However, asking for forgiveness for a sin that one still plans to commit is arguably not genuine, and therefore may not be forgiven. Therefore, I cannot say with certainty that one who asks for forgiveness for a contemplated suicide and then goes on to commit suicide will actually be forgiven. Nevertheless, it may be possible. To my knowledge, the New Testament never directly addresses this topic. The Old Testament does not provide a conclusive answer, as it is less relevant to a Christian.
The question then arises why Christians ask for forgiveness after sinning even when we have already sought forgiveness prospectively for all of our future sins. The answer must be that it is still important to seek foregiveness retrospectively, not so that our sin will be twice forgiven, but so that we will truly repent and reject our sin.
Now that your question has been answered, go make that phone call.

If you believe in Hell, don't commit suicide.
If you are normal, there is nothing but oblivion. The brain, once no longer operable, assures a complete and permanent end to your consciousness. There is no soul. There is nothing.
Ahh, oblivion - the perfect remedy for existential bliss.

Well, the church says so..it reffers to..generally speaking..but I think that suicide is only a temptation from satan , because all of our will must come from God , resulting that from God cannot come the idea of suicide..so it comes from satan...and so it results that God wants us to wish to live...not to die....God doesn't send guns...so let's feel free...There are people who wanted to die especially tenagers ..for love ..or adults ..for some difficulties in thier marriage ..or ..other..doesn't matter..But I think that when somebody is tempted he must pray to God to send him, the life , the wish to live..the wish to be happy...the wish to have friends, family and so on...The wish to dress, the wish to work , the wish to laugh ...the wish to dance..all the good wishes..God is Almighty and can do it...in the next seccond ..he can dance and forget about suicide..we all share the same life....I think that if we choose what we like and drop the others we don't like ...we can live without thinking of suicide...everybody is having problems...a secretary used to say...she divorced because of the mother of her husband...it is incredible ..perhaps they had to share the same house...that's why...

All sin (except one) is forgivable if you are truly sorry and repent (ask God's forgiveness). Suicide is 'murder' (which is a sin because 'thou shalt not kill')- since you're dead, you can't ask forgiveness or be sorry. That is at least how SOME Christians view it - not all.

punishment in hell is not what you will find if you kill yourself...... what you will find is that you pushed your will and didn't listen to Gods will..... He doesn't mind, you will learn..... .but you will have to do life all over again until you finished it. suicide just slows you progress down. when you are in the spirit you realize this.
