That's it! I've tossed mine with a garlic butter and topped with Parmesan, or tossed them with pesto. Simple and delicious.

I'm from St. Louis, the hometown of toasted ravioli. During the 1800's immigrants from Italy settled in St. Louis in a neighborhood we now call "The Hill" and brought their family recipes and cooking skills with them. We have some of the finest Italian restaurants in the country here.

Toasted ravioli is just that -- put some on a small tray and toast them for 15 minutes on high in a toaster oven. Provide a marinara sauce as a dip and enjoy. Other types of ravioli are steamed and simmered in spaghetti sauce mixed with cheese.
Making ravioli is an art and while it can be done by hand it is better to do it with a machine designed just for that job.

Good luck.

You can boil the ravioli, just keep a close eye on them as they tend to burst if cooked too long!

You could also dip them in milk- try buttermilk- and then in bread crumbs. Then, deep fry them in olive oil until they are just golden brown, drain on paper towels. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese and dip in marinara sauce. Try using Italian bread crumbs. Not too healthy, but really good!

yes--just boil water--then add the ravioli..it will say how long on the packet--the fresher it is the shorter amount of time you boil it--if this ravioli is the kind you put in the cupboard--you may have to boil it for up to 10 minutes--if it is the refrigerated kind--just a few minutes...then drain it and add whatever warmed sauce to it--Enjoy--Sounds good...
