Mendi8a: Most(not all) look to be designed for purposes of public education in the fields of residential remodeling and real estate sales. My question becomes why is there no disclaimer at the beginning of these shows?

We just had extereme home makeover do a show 10 miles from here last week. All of the workers work for contractors who volunteer time and materials. They aren't paid. So if they are illegal immigrants, they are very wonderful ones who help and support their communities.
Oops, wrong type of show I was thinking of I guess. You mean the Bob Villa shows or something. Sorry :(

What on earth do you think you are seeing? My hubby watches them all the time and has learned a great deal from them. I have never noticed anything irregular on DIY network or any of the This Old House shows.

You are a prime example of all the Americans who think that every Hispanic you see is illegal. I have Hispanic friends who are 3rd generation Americans & they have people yelling at them to go home. My Hispanic husband is a citizen with his own business & employees & we get taunts as well. Would you yell out taunts to Blacks? No. But your grandparents probably would have. Can we not learn from our past mistakes? This racism has got to stop.

The workers you are seeing are not illegal aliens.They are legal don't look for illegal aliens under every rock.
I noticed this and I contacted several with my concerns.They assured me that they only use legal workers.
