Yes, they do, because not everything is 100% recyclable. Also, did you know that a huge amount of energy is needed to actually recycle stuff?

Yes they do. It is an inconvenient fact that recycling quite often is not economically feasible. I know of one city that figured that out but had hyped up their recycling program so much they didn't abandon it. Instead they still put out the recycling containers so citizens can sort out plastic, paper, glass, ect. Then they come by with collection trucks and haul the whole works to the landfill and bury it with the rest of the garbage. So what they are accomplishing is wasting a countless manhours spent sorting recyclables by the towns citizens. All so the city officials can claim they have a recycling program.

Yes. Recycled stuff has been sent to China from the UK in large quantities. Reporters have found envelopes with London addresses amongst the stuff.

The reason? Money! By paying a company to take this stuff to China (on an otherwise empty ship returning to China) the 'recycling' company do not have to bother with sorting the stuff and dealing with it or paying people to do it.

Yes I do believe they do use them and the reason is there isn't many places to put the rubbish. We don't have here a recycling site and no recycling. Not in this state

I think one aircraft less would help more than all that recycling of rubbish. More cars of the roads would be a major help. The recycling of rubbish is a lot of scaremongering to make more money for the local authority and government.

Would make sense to separate the metals that people didn't recycle at the land fill.

You do not state which country you come from. The UK sends all it's rubbish to China, where they have stinking villages/towns, built on our rubbish, but bringing in the money.
The government had their chance to take over all recycling, but blew it. So it is open to anybody now to rip off the public with their recycling plans.

No, i do no longer think of this is real, in many cases. some adult males, in fact, refuse to weigh down recycling as nicely - i be attentive to, my husband is taken into consideration one of them! That sounds extra like arrogance or something, particularly than being petrified of the crushing feeling or something. I weigh down my recycling, wieth my feet. It would not worry me - i actually somewhat rejoice with it! there is something extraordinarily pleasing approximately crushing a milk bottle or cardboard container alongside with your feet. (i do no longer weigh down tin cans this manner, i might land up in casualty if I did so, and drink cans I hardly have besides, yet lower back i might cruch them up, and if I had to apply my feet to realize this, i might).
