i mean, in dont feel bad about it now, but if one of my friends found out they would hate me. most of my friends are good nerdy kids who never do nothing. They would completely hate me. but i want to, i mean, its fun. and its not bad, i aint cheating or nothing, and they're single too. so no harm, right?

...if it is one friend ... and you are both with same feelings ... i.e. we aren't really in a relationship, but we satisfy each others needs as friends ... then it may work.
... more than one friend with benefits is difficult for women, because we are made up differently and get more involved emotionally than physically, even when we try not to ... it could end up real confusing.
... the only "harm" is potentially to yourself ... emotionally ... depends on the situation, the person, the relationship. Just dont enter into free sex indiscriminately or too lightly. It's not what it's cracked up to be.

I think Friends with Benefits is one of the worst thing women can do. It's detrimental to all women. When guys can get sex so easily without a relationship - they don't put the effort into finding and working at a good relationship. Ask women in their 40s and 50s. Guys don't want any commitment because they can get laid easily and just want to have fun. It wasn't like this years ago when women had more self respect and morals.

It's not about your friends, but you're not being true to yourself. Why be intimate with someone with no strings attached? Scientists are now finding out that there are hormonal and chemical things that happen in your brain during sex, so you are psychologically linked to that person, in a way. That's why the break-up would be more difficult than you could plan. And if you really had no feelings about it, that would make you a cold, insensitive person. I don't think you are, so don't hurt yourself!!! Keep looking! Being single is not a bad thing.

No honey, it is not wrong or bad. It is a choice every adult has to make at one time or another and you should be able to make the choice for yourself without criticism from anyone. For some people, married or not, friends with benefits is the right choice.
Have fun while you're young. Perfect it when you're older.

A friend with benefits is another way of saying a bf/gf on the side. When my boyfriend and i broke up we were friends with benefits and we did the same thing we would have done if we were together. There just wasnt a commitment there anymore.

As long as you dont get too attached and you are using protection. FB's can be very helpful and handy at times. If you dont want the relationship and just the physical aspect I agree!!! Try not to spread yourself too thin with more than 1 FB!! stds are out there and who knows how many friends they are sleeping with?

Personally I've been in this situation. A best friend of mine and I hooked up on New Years and it kept going. Believe me when I say someone will get hurt. Feelings eventually get in the way then someone is going to get hurt. Do it if you like, but just be careful. Trust me...

Sometimes u can go with a motive of just friends with benefit and you never know what can happen cos u might end up being good feelings for him. Anyway its cool and if he like u and u feel it too why not.

There's nothing wrong with it at all. FwB is a way to satisfy your urges and still technically be single. However, it is usually best to keep it under wraps. Sex in all its forms should stay in the bedroom. Go for it. (By the way, Colleen O, there's nothing wrong with being used as a fluid receptacle when YOU'RE using THEM as a sprinkler.)
