I am just buying a laptop, then get it home & see the box says windows Vista. I have not heard much about this, what is it, is it just as good as XP? Here I looked forward to getting a system that has XP on it (from my old '98 desktop, lol) & now I just go straight to this Vista! :-(
Is it any good? I'd like to hear some opinions out there.

Vista is the newest version of Windows and it is much better than XP. Don't worry for the most part is works very similar to XP, but has been fine-tuned so that it works more elegantly and can perform more tasks at once. In my opinion its the best version of Windows made. God Bless and Jesus Saves.

I have heard that it is really good, I have a friend who was a beta tester, that means he got it before it was released, and he really liked it. The negative is that you will have to get used to a new operating system, but in my opinion you might as well do it now, cause in five years all the new computers will have vista.

Yeah, From a normal consumer point..Vista is good. It's the latest version of Windows. Looks prettier. Has better security. Also has cool widgets. You did good! :)
From a techie point - We all sort of hate Vista in our own way. But don't stop us from making you like It :)
