Since "synthetic" can mean anything from a hdpe to ldpe (high density poly ethylene) to a Rubber and several other substances that all are derivatives of petroleum type products, it leaves the cotton farmer in a 'possibly' odd position ur talking apples and oranges, the cotton is not synthetic, however, Im sure something that is originally organic, like crude oil is a natural occuring product, is turned into synthetics like ld and hdpe's.
Im sure in the case of cotton be done the same and create a synthetic from the organic. What cotton can be synthesized into is a product called TENAX... So, if its organic, I guess it can be synthesized into something else :) Best, Dave
