Nizarol shampoo 2 to 3 times a week and I promise no flakes & no itching. It's a bit expensive but worth it. I used to get it by prescription but it's over-the-counter now. You can use another shampoo between washings with the Nizarol, I use Garnier Fruitis Dandruff Control and I have no problems. And believe me, I had it very bad.

Use Head and Shoulders for a week. If it isn't clearing up see your doctor. Dandruff is actually a fungus. Your doc will likely have a topical to clear it up.

Try using warmed oil on your scalp and massage it in, leaving it in all day, then at night wash it out. It should help with the itching, but if it doesn't you need to get checked for a fungal infection.

Cut your fingernails so if you scratch you won't cut your scalp, then use desinex shampoo 3 or 4 x a week.. if that still persists see a dermatologist.

Have you ever try Paul Mitchell's Tea Tree shampoo? It works great on my husbands hair. Also, DON'T SCRATCH!!!! That irritates the condition.

Head and Shoulders works for me, you should try it too. I can't use other shampoos, they give me dandruff. =(

You could use special combs or shampoos. Perhaps you could have lice (I'm not trying to be funny!). Get checked by a doctor.
