Blowdrying is good. You can use a roller brush and and start at the roots and blowdry your hair straight. Or you can use a flat iron to straighten your hair but if your hair is frizzy or really wavy/curly use some straightening serum or spray before you blowdry or flat iron your hair. Biosilk works good and use some of that before you flat iron. And make sure you use a good flat iron also. Finish off with some hairspray and that's pretty much it.

There are two options
-the convenient option--next to no daily work required, but it kills your hair
-the less convenient option--with the option of keeping your hair healthy and alive

The first option is to visit your hairstylist and to do a permanent rebonding. Your hair will stay straight for the next six months, but you'll need to touch up every 4-6 weeks because curly roots will grow. Ion rebonding can look nice on some people but for those who aren't so fortunate it can also make the hair look limp and dead. You may be able to maintain hair volume and vivre by using the right treatment products like intensive repair, spray-on moisturiser, serums etc, but even so their effectivity is reduced because of the chemicals applied to your hair. Please note that your stylist will apply deadly chemicals to your hair--this is not recommended if you are pregnant or trying to conceive.

The second option takes a lot more work and lasts only till the next wash (or not even) but you get to keep your hair really healthy and fresh--and you have the option of having days when you prefer to keep your hair curly. Personally I prefer this option.

Hair is best styled when it's NOT freshly washed. If you have to wash your hair every day like me, work in some protein serum or mousse to make styling easier. I use Satinique Hi-Gloss Serum, available through Quixtar.com--it's FABULOUS. If that's not available, I use light lotion, like Body Series G&H (glycerine and honey...also an exclusive Quixtar product) and blow dry it properly. It's not exactly made for hair, but it does eliminate frizz and make your hair feel incredibly soft and easy to style.

While working in the styling product, blow dry your hair section by section using a ROUND brush. Pin your hair up to allow you to work layer by layer. Comb it from the inside, blow it from the outside from root to tip, and CURL the brush in. You will get almost straight hair. For long-lasting (at least till your next wash) extra-straight hair, follow through with a straightening iron.

a friend of mine found her hair impossible to straighten, it was quite long so she would wash it and when still wet she would use an iron laying down. it would take about an hour, but with a good friend to help her. She wouldnt wash it for a few days after.

I know it seems really weird and harmful to your hair but it worked for her. as long as you dont do it everyday.

The oh-so-famous one: comb hair while blowdrying it with some straightening stuff in it like thermasilk volume boosting ultra gel for example. Then straighten as much as you need to with straightener.
