Self study, and immersion.
I started off with watching movies and dramas without subtitles, and making Korean friends to drink with haha.
Drinking is a great way to learn a new language!
There is also a great online course from Sogang university, but actually... I haven't completed that yet.
Immersion is the best way, there are a lot of things that they teach you in books which will get you nowhere in real life.

Im korean and japanese and I grew up learning both languages fluently,even though im better at speaking korean. I diddnt learn how to read and write korean untill I was 13 years old. By 2 days I had already learned how to read and write quite good =D.

The University of Maryland University College in Seoul. They have an excellent Korean language programme, but can only be found on military bases.

I was born in South Korea and grew up learning Korean.
When I came to America, my parents bought me books written in Korean so I wouldn`t completely forget my language. I am also currently going to Korean School(:

am self learning korean at the moment...
the alphabets r not that hard, as long as u memorize them, u can read most korean writings n look the word up in a dictionary...
the grammar is a bit tricky tho....
n u should watch loads n loads of korean dramas n movies
