The fact that there are 2 states involved will not effect your 1040 at all. The 1040 is your federal return. If you paid state taxes in 2 different states, then you will need to file 2 separate state returns in addition to your 1040.

One 1040 for all income.
Two state returns

You add them up and put them on the appropriate line. I'm assuming they are both W2s. You may have to file with each state individually.

in turbotax it will ask you if you have another w-2 from another state and it will guide you through the necessary steps
