Your anti- biotics should have kicked in by now

You should go back to the Doctor, at once ,

Kidney pain is awful and you should,
get relief from it as soon as possible ;

here are two reasons why you may still be having pain ';

The kidney infection is not responding to the Cipro
or
There is a chance that a kidney stone
or some gravel , has move down your ureter
( tube from kidney to your bladder)
causing you spasmodic and severe pain.

If you are still experiencing kidney pains
go back to the doctor A.S.A.P

hope you feel better soon

You could still have an infection or you could have a kidney stone (or something else like a tumor, but that is unlikely)...Usually the hospital ER tries to get people out of there as quick as they can, so I am guessing that they didn't do a catscan for kidney stones or tumors? If you haven't already gone back to the ER, now would be a good time to.

You need to go back now as the meds might not have taken care of the infection or it may have spread. WHen they test your urine please request that they do a culture and sensitivity also so they find out WHAT bug is causing it and what antibiotics will work for that particular bug. Head over to urgent care or ER and get this checked before it goes septic into your blood stream.

5 days is long enough - if after 48hrs you aren't feeling at least the same (probably better) you need something else - and certainly with a kidney infection it's not something you want to guess at - kidney damage is very dangerous! go back to the doctor or the hospital...a serious infection can eventually turn into blood poisoning...

You should go back. A kidney infection can cause permanent damage (although that is very rare) so you should make sure there is follow up by a doctor to ensure the infection has fully cleared.

I couldn't just sit around and do nothing like my doctors suggested.

They didn't want me to do anything or to take herbs or herbal remedies, but I had to try something - they just wanted me to do dialysis!

This program allowed me to take control of my health. I went from Stage 4 to Stage 3 kidney disease.

It was easy to do and my BUN, creatinine and anemia are all in better ranges.

No! go to ER ASAP. 5 day prescription is equivalent to 10 days.
