Well, Mountain C is correct about the Glock Model 20 in .10mm. Anything bigger is an overkill, but back to your question...

The most powerful handgun in the world that is not a revolver? The .50 Caliber Action Express comes to mind, however that is not the answer. Since you only stipulated that it not be a revolver, then it can be a single shot or automatic. Then that would be one of the single shot handguns chambered for rifle cartridges like the Thompson Contender line; that would be the .600 Nitro Express single shot pistol.

Bound's hubby here:

If you include no longer cataloged "mass produced" pistol I would have to suggest you look at the old .44 Auto-Mag. Current production mass produced pistols would probably be limited to Magnum Research's Desert Eagle in .44 Magnum and perhaps 50 Action Express.

I am not currently in the market for a new handgun, so I am not up to date on the new upstart companies or their products.

Good luck.

That is mass produced.
That easy TC Encore made by Thompson Center Arms.
You can get it in any popular rifle or pistol cartridge and up to the 375 H&H, I have a 45-70.

It all depends on what you define Mass produced as thousands or hundreds?

Another vote for the encore, you can order it with many of the standard rifle calibers. I have a 308 Winchester and a 7mm Remington Magnum myself.
