my husband was in an accident the car was totaled we are trying to find out how much the insurance company will pay him for this 1997 crown victoria/police intercepter,it was also a for hire vechile

PERSONAL auto policies do not extend coverage to vehicles for hire. You'll have to turn the claim in to the COMMERCIAL policy covering the "for hire" status.

For the vehicle,... they will pay you what the cost is to make you whole (what the car was worth..).

As for lost wages and earnings, that is not part of the car claim, you need to make a claim for supplemental damages and substantiate that with proof (last years tax receipts, etc..) that show how much earnings you likely lost.

Your own insurance company can give you the best advice on this.. make sure you work with them.. after all you paid for that service.
