convention is still not the one i'm afraid. It is when so many foreign politicians are visiting that they give the doorhandle to each other, a kinda diplomatic 'madhouse' or something.
In our language we say - literally - diplomatic 'large-scale works'
or can it be called a diplomatic rally or large scale diplomacy, maybe, hmmm....?

Historically, what we would call a 'summit' today might have been a 'congress' - the Congress of Vienna (post-Napoleonic Europe) and the Congress of Berlin (agreements regarding colonization of Africa) are two such examples.

Encounter? "This week London has seen a diplomatic encounter." If they also have met. Here I am kind of inspired by the French expression "rendez-vous" which in fact is very much used in English. Otherwise you would have to use something like "meeting". Good luck!

Maybe you're looking for a "convention?" As in "This week London has seen a diplomatic convention."

I like "a diplomatic plethora".
Cornucopia seems a little bit cheese...

Check this site, just in case. http://thesaurus.reference.com/browse/full%20house
Good luck! ;)
