Ok.

In a debate, you have main points, and many main COUNTERpoints.

COUNTERpoints are points that you say to refute your opponents argument. So, predict some main points that your opponent is going to say. I imagine that he would say "Have you ever heard the quote 'The best things in life are free'". A good counterpoint for this is: "Well, would you like to be a poor happy person or a rich happy person." You also have to remember to research, research, rresearch. Get statistics to prove you points. Your teacher should have gone over this.

I shouldn't really "give" you points cause that would be cheating. But type in the queries "money everything" or "money is everything" in google and articles will come up. Use these articles to form your points.

You will have to start by making sure everyone knows that you are not talking about

THE LOVE of money!

That is a different issue altogether. The love of money is the root of all evil. (Bible verse) So to talk about 'money IS everything,' you must define your terms:
a) money = the source of exchange. My $3.00 for your chicken

b) everything = you will have to make a definition of everything. It could be one or more of the following:
Success? Financial freedom to buy whatever? The ability to help the poor countries (Dafur rebels?) Ability to fulfill your every lustful desire?

Make sure you define 'everything' well and the rest will be easy.

Think fo the other debate side. What will THEY come up with? You must defeat their arguments as well as put your ideas up there for the audience to hear and agree with.
