When I die.. the only thing to look forward to would be the Resurrection..."one government under God, Perfection on the world" But when I'm dead I will not look forward to it because I will be dead..
I am a Christian but I agree with the atheist that when we die we are just dead..

I'm looking forward to the satisfaction of having lived a long, fulfilling life (knock on wood about the long part), and becoming one with the Earth again.
Energy and matter never disappear, they just change forms - I may not have a conscious form of existence after death, but the molecules that I currently am will become parts of other things.
If I'm very lucky, people will remember my name for the good things I did while alive.
That's more than good enough for me.

So you believe, in hope of reward after death... very noble. When you die your dead you won't have to worry about anything, all your thoughts and hopes will mean nothing, so me as an atheist saying when you die your nothing isn't horrid it isnt scary it is the truth. When you die you'll figure it out... well no you won't you'll be dead. I look forward to not having to listen to the same old crap over and pver again about how I'm going to hell.

Being in Heaven in the presence of our Creator and there will be:
No tears
No hunger
No death
"They shall neither hunger anymore nor thirst anymore, the sun shall not strike them nor any heat, for the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to living fountains of waters. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes."
Revelation 7:16-17

I don't look forward to death. Of course I don't, I am glad that I fear death and so will get what I want to get done in my own lifetime. No one can know what happens after death, it is far better to make the most of what you KNOW you have.

Pure potential...no longer limited by the confines of my earthly body. Reunion with kindred spirits. A very colorful palette.
