You can sub some vanilla pudding mix for some flour, which keeps them softer longer (more like freshed baked even if they're a few days old). And personally, I always nix putting the salt in, but I don't know if that does anything!

For the best Tollhouse Cookies in the world, use 1/3 of your chocolate chips, 1/3 butterscotch chips, 1/3 white chocolate chips. Use the total amount of chips that the recipe calls for. I made these for a gathering 2 weeks ago and the phone is ringing off the wall for the recipe.

Well, I always add some chopped pecans. It gives them a really good flavor. I also use the mini chocolate chips. I know they are the same thing as the large ones, but I think they taste better. Have fun.

Use butter as the fat in the cookie and add pecans instead of walnuts and also add butterscotch or carmel chips along with some of the chocolate chips.

Often walnuts are used--or pecans--you could add raisins as well--Just crush or lightly chop a couple of handfuls of the nuts and mix in with the dough...
