I've always thought it was megalomaniacal of god to wish to be worshiped.

Well, yeah,
but *my* guess is that *if* the historical Jesus did exist - and I don't see any reason to think that he didn't, if you look at the Bible as a primary historical text - then he was a guy with a good message about loving each other, that a lot of people took to heart.
It was the guys who started writing and spreading his teachings after Jesus' death that edited what the man said to include all the "I am God" stuff, and added the resurrection story. Kind of like the 'telephone' game where what was originally said gets told and retold until it's unrecognizable.
IMHO.

Christians are not so because they were raised in a Christian family. I found the Lord "on my own through friends that
LOVE me", not family. Family members are the hardest to help. I sympathize with all of you people that have had your eyes closed and our hearts hardened. You will not know or understand the purest of Loves and gentlest of Hearts. Your lost. However there still is time for joy in your lives if you seek...you shall find!!! It's AWESOME but then you wouldn't know, would you??? There must be something to our MADNESS because more and more eyes and hearts are turning to Christ each day. Think about it. Before slamming something you know nothing about.

You do not say who "him" is. The HIM that i know of and worship is Jesus because HE died on the cross in my place and took my sin away. He paid a debt He did not owe, i owed a debt i could not pay. When we didn’t even love Him, He loved us. Without any form of reciprocation on our part, no response from us, He has loved us. You owed a debt you could not pay, and He paid a debt He did not owe. Not only did He pay your debt, He paid it by crucifying His Son. From God’s perspective, each of you was and is worth His only Son. Think about that…He could have chosen to redeem you with a tree, a rock, a frog…but He chose His Son. None of us could ever clean up our act, improve our performance, or make ourselves acceptable to God. In Adam, we had more than a behavior problem, we had an identity problem. There wasn’t just something wrong with my actions, there was something wrong with me. Did that stop God from loving us? But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us (Romans 5:8)…For God so loved the world…(John 3:16)…and He Himself is the propitiation for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for those of the whole world (1 John 2:2)

if you're writing this then it's proves that you know your life is not enough. You know you want more than what you have now. You have to go around criticzing anyone but yourself because deep down inside you're insecure. You have to go and treat God like dirt, because you probably secretly hope He'll answer you in your quest, you want whatever's real. Stop looking inside of yourself for the answers - face it, you don't have the answers. God does. He'll take you if you'll humble yourself. Would you rather live life as if there was a God to die and find out there isn't, or to live your life as if there was no God to die and find out there IS?
May the Lord draw you to Him - i promise you He's real.
May you be His forever.

God is also a schizophrenic. The last time i checked he had 3 personalities. The first was a father the 2nd was a son and the 3rd was a ghost.
Christians knew this but tried to hide by saying that it's 3 gods in 1, not to make thier god look like a nut.

Hello Ludd... :)
God made us, to share His Glory..He also made us with a free will of our own..that is why you have the right to choose your destiny..God will not, nor has He, ever forced you to believe in Him..
A true believer should be humble of heart, not self righteous, for all have sinned..
I was selfish, I wanted to take revenge on others that hurt or wronged me..I was a whore and a druggie..I was angry at everyone else and blamed others for the way I acted..I blamed my parents for not being there for me..I blamed others for making me angry at them.. :(
Notice the word I..it was used quite a few times in the above sentence..This world we live in now, is the Me or I generation..
Instead of being the us generation.. :(
The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness and temperance.. :)
Is not the above scripture what EVERYONE truly wants in life.. :)
In Jesus Most Precious Name..
With Love..In Christ.. :)

Tell me what commands that you should follow would hurt you? NONE! They would only make your life better and everyone else around you! God gave us free will to follow him, if you dont follow him, your following Satan and that is who helps you burn in hell. God wants nothing more for you than to go to heaven and be with him. Satan loves it that he has his grips in you enough to even ask such a question. And that is why I hate Satan! He is evil

There must be a name for a disorder that causes one to obsessively try to prove that anyone who doesn't have the same identical belief is mentally challenged.

You're playing us... We're all much wiser than you give us credit. While you're at it, spend some time, a lot of time researching and translating "hell" from the original scriptures. Take every reference and run with it... It will blow you away when you find the true definition of hell.
