Schizophrenia (from the Greek word σχιζοφρένεια, or shjzofre'neja, meaning "split mind") is a psychiatric diagnosis that describes a mental disorder characterized by impairments in the perception or expression of reality and by significant social or occupational dysfunction. A person experiencing schizophrenia is typically characterized as demonstrating disorganized thinking, and as experiencing delusions or hallucinations, in particular auditory hallucinations[1].

The Holy Spirit can communicate with you through dreams and visions and repeated thoughts he keeps in your mind but all these things require that you are a sanctified Christian. A sanctified Christian follows God's laws and is totally committed to God. They attend church, study the
word, etc. but most of all they have the presence of the Holy Spirit in their hearts and this is reflected in their daily walk with God. Remember also that a dream or vision or communication proves itself true over time and it will not be something that will go against God's law or want you to cause harm to another person. It is something that keeps coming into your mind. I also think it is extremely important to discuss a vision that you think you have had with a solid clergy person and if you have schizophrenia, speak to your doctor about it. You must be praying and know the Bible.

Jesus speaks to us in many ways.
The basic communication to Him is through our prayers.
He speaks to us through people that we meet, the books (specially the Bible) that we read, etc...
all we need to have is a relationship with Him.

Really now, we don't hear Jesus voice in our head. We hear Him in our hearts, which does not match the description at all.

Actually, schizophrenia has been found to be cause by childhood trauma. It's PTSD.

Those who proclaim to hear voices in their head are only hearing other layers of their subconscious, not an outside source.
