Do you have allergies? A couple of weeks ago I ran out of my medication and was sneezing like crazy and my eyes were really itching and I had string mucus in my eyes. The next morning my eyes were sealed shut by crusties in my lashes. sooo either you have allergies or an infection but either way try this: soak a rag or a paper towel with cool water and leave it on your eyes before you go to bed and keep some water and washcloths so you can clean them off when you wake up. It's kinda scary when you cant open your eyes but dont wory!

You may have conjunctivitis (Pink Eye). A little mucus in the eye each morning (often called "sleep") is no big deal. But when it seals the eye shut, there is usually an infection of some kind. Pink Eye can be caused by a virus or a bacteria. You will need to see your doctor to determine if you need eye drops. Make sure to wash your hands frequently and not to rub your eye, so that you won't contaminate the other eye. You can use hot compresses for relief of pain, itching and swelling.

My little one's eye has done exact thing a few times before. They said it wasn't too serious...maybe a minor infection or allergy. Down side: you'll probably have to see a doc. The only thing that made hers go away was wiping gently with a warm wash rag and the use of an antibiotic called erythromyocin. It is a cream that you "apply a ribbon on the inside of the eye" with.

sounds like it might be an eye infection - is the eye weepy during the day? is it pink cuz then it might be "pink-eye"...and if not it might be caused by a sinus infection or another type of eye infection...if it isn't better by tomorrow then see a doctor - don't play with eyes...youdon't want o do permenant damage...but try polysporin drops from the drugstore - at least i've fopund them helpful...REALLY important -to try to clean your eye use just a kleenex or papertowel and and warm water...and not use the same one on both eyes...very contagous!!!! VERY!!!...and change your towels and pillow cases each day...hope you're feeling better soon!

We had this catch 22 situation with our youngster. His tear ducts did no longer open up yet and that i used somewhat a lot of eye drops that was prescribed via wellbeing care provider that had antibiotic in it, and we in basic terms saved messaging his tear ducts to motivate them to open. on the relatively fact sheet, it reported they're going to clog lower back in spite of the incontrovertible fact that it relatively did no longer say how historic the chld might nicely be. i might rubdown his front of his eyes the place his tear ducts come from and use some over-the-counter toddler danger-unfastened tears (like visine for babys)

probably pink eye (conjunctivitis). Call your doctor. If it is, you need drops. It's quite contagious, but easy to get rid of. Supposedly eye wash solutions help, but I wouldn't swear to it.
