I live in Colorado and want to find my natural parents. Is there a way to go about it? I have suspicions about the people who adopted me. Please help me find my natural parents.

I'll save you from asking your next question.

No, you can't sponsor your "natural" family. Once you were adopted, as far as the law is concerned, all legal ties with them were severed forever.

Start with your adopted parents and get as much info from them as you can. If they used an agency or went through the state just contact the appropriate agencies. Good Luck.

first ask your adoptive parents for help. If they won't help you then you will have to wait until you are 18 then you can contact the courts to open your adoption file for your parents name.

If you aren't even sure if you are adopted, you can search google for "paternal dna test" and find results for kits you can buy for about $100. They send stuff to collect dna, and packaging to express mail to their lab, then they send you the results.

P.S. Good luck not waking them up while you swab their cheeks ;-)

Look for your birth certificate at the Secretary of State's office. It sounds as if you aren't sure if you are adopted or not.

Well, if you're 18 you could get your birth records from the Hospital you were born in.

Get real and do something better with you time.

Parents are the people that raise you. I believe you know who they are.

So is your purpose to hurt them, calling someone you don't even know a parent is insulting.

Or have you been reading to many girly magizines?

You have a life get on with it.
