No. If they don't know, I don't hold it against them. If they do know about me being Atheist, I'll be quick to correct them.
Anyway, I wouldn't get mad if someone's being nice.

a million. I (an atheist) say "oh my God!" and "pray for me" no longer because i'm really relating God. I say it merely as an interjection to precise marvel, and the latter for fulfillment in the previous examinations. If it truly is offending your God, i'm basically sorry, yet what about those those who say "Goddamn blah blah"? Does God really damn the element? And, i imagine, some Christians DO remember on success; they imagine of it as a miracle supplied with assistance from God or something like that. 2. really all and multiple is going to hell, if each and every faith is ideal. All religions have their very personal gods, and the religions all tell their believers that merely the believers of that distinct faith can bypass to heaven (eternal searching floor for the Natives, etc). for the reason that we do not all remember on all religions, it truly is merely a threat that all and multiple is going to hell. there is also an challenge that each and every one religions seek for suggestion from from an identical god yet in diverse techniques, yet some religions contain infinite gods, which proves that argument incorrect.

Atheists don't mind when people say god bless your soul. Sometimes it is annoying when somebody tells us that they will pray for us because usually it is after a long argument about the existence of god, and the faithful person says "I will pray for you that you find the right way to god." I don't believe god exists why would you pray I find what I don't believe in. It can get annoying.

Well, I'm agnostic, but I figure that's close enough.
I don't get offended, unless they say it in a way that implies that I need saving and I'm a hopeless case, etc. Even then, if that's what they want to think, it really doesn't affect my life, so they can go pray if it makes them feel better, and I'll just get on with what I'm doing.
If they mean it in a general, "God bless" sense, in a way they'd say to anybody, well, I think it's nice. After all, it's their way of wishing well. Nothing wrong with that.

To start with, an atheist is not a satanist. An atheist would see a satanist as just as deluded as a theist, no more, no less.
And, no, a decent atheist would not blame a theist for his sincere benediction, anymore than if he said "God bless you" after a sneeze. I think rather he would be grateful for the kindness of the thought.
For the legal portion, I guess I have to refer you to one of those 800-number lawyers on late-night tv.

It depends on how it's said. I've lost three friends in the last four months, all unexpectedly and on two continents. Someone who prays for me to have the strength to cope is appreciated. Community is important at times like these.
But when a Good Christian on a forum like this says that s/he'll pray for all of us because s/he's been commanded to share the 'good news' so we don't burn in hell, that's another matter entirely. That's not community, it's prideful arrogance falsely justified.

It depends on how it is said. If it is just a "bless you" and they don't know I'm an atheist, I take it in the spirit it is meant.
However, if they know I'm an atheist, I treat it as slight that it is. In that case, it's really a paraphrase of "I hope you come to your senses before God tortures you forever." It's a combination of saying they are better than me and threatening that I'll be tortured if I don't buy into their superstition. Screw that. It's idiotic and rude.

I am not offended by their words of kindness at all. I view them as a waste of breath. When they say " I will pray for you." I gladly reply, go ahead. I know it does nothing but kill time. And in some cases make them feel holier that thou, you know. It is only when they use their hate speech is when I get offended.

I have no problem with "God Bless Your Soul".
"I Will Pray For You" often does annoy me, particularly when it's used in a context to mean "I Will Pray For You [You Heathen Scum]."

no different than when someone says "blessed be". An atheist would not say "may satan be with you" by the way.

I think, in the main, people appreciate the kind thoughts. The notion that someone is wishing us well is important to everyone, whatever form that wish may take.
