Kim is like the last name of Smith in our language. In Korea, the last name comes first in the name. For ex. Kim, Hea Chin was My martial arts instructor when I was in Korea for a year. Some other last names are Pak, Lee, and Sun. There are many others but Kim is probably the most common.
