Yes and no...yes cuz I was able to marry my best friend with our children present and standing up for us. The few mess ups we had were so few, only the pictures is what I regret the most. We didn't get near enuff pic and who was doing them wasn't as good as we thought she would be and she "rushed" thru the formal pics, so we missed out on a lot of the ones I wanted to get. The music got a little messed up, but that gave us a few good giggles, wasn't a big thing at all. Looking back, other than the pictures I wouldn't change a thing about our wedding. Not one tiny thing. We remember the good parts, hardly ever thinking of the little goof ups. We did end up getting some great pictures that my daughter took for us....they turned out to be our favorites!!

As much planning that goes in to weddings you'd think they'd go off without a hitch, but that isn't always the case. You have to allow for human error [and negligence.]
And realize that there is no thing as 'perfection". You need to stay a little loose and go with the flow. Only those on the "in" know what's suppose to happen so if everyone relaxes and keeps going, your guests will not be the wiser.
I have had a member of the bridal party faint at my feet. A friend of mine dropped the bride's wedding ring & it fell between the floor boards of the gazebo. They had to find someone to pull up the boards to get the ring, after the ceremony. One bride was locked out of her dressing room & had to go in search of the person with the key. Someone else I slightly know, during the ceremony, kept calling the bride by the wrong name.
It doesn't hurt to have a slight sense of humor about some of these things. The main objective is that in the end, you will be married to the one person you love so very much.

It went even better than planned!! I kept telling myself the whole time we were planning my wedding that I wasn't going to freak out about anything. I hate it when I see bride's yelling on their wedding day about something as simple as a misplaced flower, table, or whatever it may be. So I made it very clear of the things I definitely wanted way ahead of time and everything else I just let my coordinator take care of. I think the only thing I got upset about was when we were taking pictures before the ceremony all the guys are there, except who?? my two brothers of course... so we had to hunt them down haha! but everything else was more than perfect!

No, it was really hot (110) in Vegas, I wore those stick on bra things (girls you know what I'm talking about) and because I was sweating so much the fell off, so I went braless to my own wedding....not to mention I was sick and losing my voice oh and also the chapel gave us a limo to the courthouse and on the way back to the chapel the driver pulled down the visor and it said something about tips and neither of us had any money on us. How's that for a marrige start?

it will be the most stressed out day of your life! on the other hand afterwards you will enjoy other people's weddings a lot more!
try to relax and enjoy it but get a lot of pictures taken .... you will need them to remember everything afterwards... (but then it also depends on how big your wedding is!!! Mine was with about 200 people and this made it worse...plus the church was the size of a cathedral and I had the flu - not the best day of my life - im sad to say)

ours did. We planned for months and when the day came I decided whatever will be, will be. But it went off without a hitch. If there were any problems I certainly didn't know about it. Don't get so worked up you can't enjoy the day.

Mine was relaxing and easy! I went to breakfast with my best man and my groomsmen, then we hung out watching Chapelle Show on DVD. About an hour before the ceremony we changed into our tuxes and made it to the church with 10 minutes to spare. My wife on the other hand...

Totally - my family was awesome with helping everything out on the day, especially my mom.
The only huge "blip" was my glasses breaking the morning of the wedding day! No backup glasses, no one able to fix them - so I went through the day kinda blind...
