Is the ancient and venerable religion of Islam being exploited for political purposes to incite angry, uneducated young men from the Muslim world to violence? If so, why?

Terrorist: An individual or group that kills or wounds civilians and/or military personnel and destroys property for the sole purpose of inciting fear. This fear is the real weapon intended to intimidate governments into altering their foreign policies in a particular region.
Or: An individual or group who deem all religions and cultural norms other than their own as blasphemous and in need of eradication.
Or: Just some poor loser who wants the end of his pointless life to count for something.
These are the "real" terrorists.

I think Bush is the biggest terrorist of all, and he's christian.

Islam is by nature a peaceful religion that promotes respect and kind treatment to all people. Is it being exploited for personal agendas? Absolutely. Bush and his crew manipulate and distort the facts to justify their actions in the Middle East and uninformed Muslims do the same to justify their reactions. If everyone returned to the basics of Islam, the world would be a much happier place.

Yes, because the Quran justifys war and violence but only in self defense. And because a lot of middle eastern men cant read, the written language is different from the spoken, and so they cant interpret the quran for themselves, this is because Al Qaida knows this as an easy way to get free soldiers.

Please define "Terrorists".
Some of them are viewed by many in the world as "Freedom Fighters", using whatever they have access to, to fight for their rights...
I do not promote killing innocent people, but you should look at the number of innocent civilians in the Middle East (Muslims and non-Muslims) that have been killed by American and Israeli forces before you judge on who the real "Terrorist" is...
Just something to make you rethink things...

They were most like incited to violence because of a very grievous mistake in child rearing that I have often heard about and both seen.
Never tell your sons no. It's going to hurt their psyche. All of that of course comes out of ignorance.

It really has a lot to do with language. Many people in the west describe them as terrorists. Many people in the east describe them as freedom fighters, or martyrs.
The definition says more about who is making the judgment than it does about the one being labeled.

Read the Qur'an and you'll find out, and also go to the founder of Islam Muhammad, he's a terrible man that founded the outdated teachings that carry on today. Thumbs down me if you want but its my opinion
