I am a beginner golfer. Just bought a complete set of clubs and tested them in the driving range. But I am not sure whether I should practise each club on this sequence: Iron #7-8-9-6-5 Wood #3-driver? Please help.

If you ask most avid golfers, they choose to work their way up to the driver. You should start with your highest lofted club first and progress your way up to the driver. Some people skip every other club (pw, 8, 6, 4, 2, 5 wood, 3 wood, driver) or something like that.

AS a beginner, you shoud practice with the clubs you are confident with, until your swing is developed and you can make solid contact with low to mid-irons or a driver.

You are fine using a wedge thru 7 iron. Also I would stick with the 3-wood until you feel confident with a driver.

Nothing will make you quit the game more than a big banana driver slice!

You say nothing about lessons, believe me they are worth it,nothing is worse than practicing mistakes.

Hit your six and eight than the five iron. You should use hybird instead of long irons.
