Yes, there can be no doubt that His return is very, very soon. In order for us to know this, God provided the following clues in the Bible: 1) Although the Jews would be scattered throughout the world and the nation of Israel destroyed, Israel would be made into a nation again and the Jews would be slowly regathered to it. Israel was made a nation for the first time since 70 AD in May, 1948. Since the 1880's, the Jews have been gathering there due to the Zionist movement. 2) When the nation is re-established, it would be done in one day. This was fulfilled in May, 1948. 3) The Bible says the Jews would be regathered in a state of unbelief in the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. This is easily proven true by Israel's own statistics, which state the vast majority of Jews living there are secular (not religious). At some point AFTER the above events, the world will transition into a period of time God calls "the latter days." This is the period of years that preceeds "the time of the end," or the "Tribulation" (i.e. the last 7 years before His return). 4) Jesus stated that AFTER 1 - 3 have taken place, AND you see natural disasters, wars, plagues and famines greatly increasing, THEN His return is imminent. Scientists state that natural disasters have increased by 400% since 1980 -- what does this tell you? We now have plagues like AIDS, SARS, Ebola, etc. that cannot be cured by any known medication. Warfare has greatly increased and, as a result of climactic change and warfare, famine is quite prevalent on the earth. Don't listen to people who say "Christians have always said He's returning soon!" Actually, their scorn is the fulfillment of a prophecy (2 Peter 3:3-4).

If you are waiting for Jesus to crack the sky open and take you away to heaven some where, then you will be waiting for a very long time. First of all...if you are able to locate the word rapture in scriptures let me know and I will be raptured up with you! Elijah and Enoch are the only humans that have ever gone to Heaven. I am waiting on YAHOSHUA to return and restore proper order to the world. If you going to heaven then what about the 144,000? What about the new Jerusalem? YAHWEH AND YAHOSHUA ARE THE WAY!

Hi Rodney. You won't believe the feeling I have in my heart after reading your question!!! What a wonderfull blessing to know that we can (only) understand this truths if you have the Holy Spirit. You and I do not know one another, have not attended the same church, have nor been to the same Sunday school class, but understand the same things. Great brother, keep up the good work!!!! Yes, I want to see the second coming of Jesus. Not because of fear of the wrath of God, bur because I want to be with Him for ever. See you there.

In ancient Jewish tradition Satan is simply an angel doing the work that God assigned to Satan to do.

The word Satan means challenger. With the idea of Satan challenging us, or tempting if you will. This description sees Satan as the angel who is the embodiment of man's challenges. This idea of Satan works closely with God as an integral part of Gods plan for us. His job is to make choosing good over evil enough of a challenge so that it becomes clear to us that there can be only one meaningful or logical choice.

Contrast this to Christianity, which sees Satan as God's opponent. In Jewish thought, the idea that there exists anything capable of setting itself up as God's opponent would be considered polytheistic or setting up the devil to be an equally powerful polarity to god or a demigod.

Oddly, proof for The Christian satan/devil mythology is supposedly found in the ancient Jewish texts that were borrowed to create the bible. One can’t help but wonder how Christians came up with such a fantastically different interpretation of Gods assistant Satan in their theology.

Other hints about Satan’s role in human relations can be seen if you look at the name Lucifer. It’s meaning in the original tongue translates as Light bearer or light bringer. Essentially the bringer of enlightenment. The temptations of the Satan idea bring all of us eventually into Gods light. Hardly the Evil entity of Christian mythology.

Earnestly waiting, as John writes in Rev 14:12, "Here is the patience of the saints; here are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus."

Those to keep the commandments including the one that God wanted us to remind us about, when He says "Remember, " because He knew we'd forget.

"Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it. "

I have no doubt that he will return. As for if it will be soon, who knows. Scripture makes it clear that no man knows the day or the hour. All we can do is try to share the Gospel with as many people as we can before that time comes.

I thank God in all things and at this point in the world I'm just going to stay 'ready'. It's not a good time to take chances in sin.
