my boyfriend and I frequent bars...except he go to a paticular one and only a few times has he asked me to join him there. We are only there for a few min. then we leave and go somewhere else. Or i will pick him up from there and then we go somewhere else but he spends a lot of time there with out me. And is it ok for me to just show up if he is there?

BTW, I don't think it has anything to do with cheating, I totally trust him but I feel like he has something to hide

He doesn't want to let you into every part of his life yet. There are some things that are "just for him". Stop being possessive or you'll lose him.

In a relationship sometimes it is hard to find time to be alone and do your own thing. This maybe just his way of getting in some "me-time". He may not be hiding anything. If he was you probably wouldn't know where the bar was. Don't invade his space. He still spends time with you and thats a good thing. It is normal for him to want to hang out without you and you should find time to do the same.

If you are completely confident it's not a cheating thing, then it may be harmless. Some guys just need a place to call their own -a 'guy' place.
Now, if you suspect he may be buying drugs, or picking up on women, then it's an issue. Otherwise, let him be. Part of a healthy relationship is allowing your partner to have interests outside of the relationship that doesn't include each other.

If he has nothing to hide, then he won't mind you joining him there. It's probably just "his" place where he hangs out with the guys. Show up early one time and see his reaction.Maybe he feels it's not the right place for a date.

Yes this is ok. This is probably how your cycle is going to be now, every 3 weeks. I come on about every 3 and a half. It's annoying I know.

It is not normal that he does not want you at a bar that he frequents often. If you did not think he was cheating you would not have asked this question! Show up and see what happens. Watch him for awhile and see what he is doing. You probably won't like it!

If you trusted him completely then this wouldn't even be a question that you would ask. No. You don't trust him if you think there is something to hide. Sure stop by there if you think that he's cheating. If you both go there occassionally I don't see why you shouldn't. He's your boyfriend and it's open property. Go ahead.

Sounds like this place is his hangout for he and his buds. If you go there when he is there uninvited it will look like you are checking up on him (which sounds like you are). All couples need their own space and it sounds like he is getting his. So, why not go hang out with your friends at a different place? You know, girls night out?!
The most important thing is to not follow him like a p[puppy and don't sit around you apartment waiting for him. Both Of these prospects are unhealthy and stifling to both of you.
You were an individual before you met him, you are an individual while you are with him and you will be an individual after he is gone.
You are NOT an appendage to anyone!!
Go, girl!

You, dear one, are guilty of the plague called "oxymoron". You said you totally trust him but then you said offhandedly that you want to show up ther...and that is to check up on what he is up to or should I say into......And by what you say, I suggest your insecure with this relationship if you are so unsure. Better think about it, him, you and all of where you want to be.
