If hair is dyed from medium blonde to light brown yesterday; can it be further darkened from light brown to dark brown today?

I'm told it's not a good idea to do when someone is lightening their hair, but what about darkening it? Is it relatively safe for the hair?

It's not necessarily the best idea, but I've done worse stuff to my hair with no adverse effects, just make sure to take good care of it after with the recommended hair care products for color treated (and/or damaged/dry) hair.

It depends on the condition your hair was in before... I can tell you though, I've personally lightened and darkened my hair more than twice in the same day (and on more than one occasion), and my hair still looks great! But it does depend harshness of the particular brand of hair color, and how healthy your hair was before you started.

It's not a good idea to do it again that soon. You've already bombarded it with chemicals. It could really burn your hair if you do that now. Get a good trim, and then in a couple of weeks, you could do it again. Bur it's a good idea to get a trim after each time you put chemicals on it.

I would wait for a couple of months. If you do it too soon, you will burn your hair and it will probably fall out even. Just wait and you won't regret it. Just think, another couple of months and you can look different again instead of all at one time!

well, that depends.....is what you used a temporary color or a permanent color? The permanent colors are mixxed with peroxide, the peroxide is what damages the hair. Soooo, if it was a permanent color, i wouldn't do it, your hair will get brittle and dry from overprocessing.....if it was a temporary hair color, you could get by with it:)

no you will fry your hair its best to wait at least a week if you absolutly have to you should have used a darker dye in the forst place so you wouldn't have to dye it again.
