If she doesn't like the babyfood try mooshing up mac and cheese to the consistancy she can tolerate. Same with cooked carrots, peas, green beans, ect. It's bound to have more flavor than the junk in the jars. Don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with feeding your baby babyfood, but the taste isn't the best.

not every baby is ready to eat that early. just try waiting a few more weeks. don't worry - this is the experimental phase. Until 12 months they still should be getting all her nutrients from breastmilk or formula.
if you are looking for a specific food, i agree with the avocado suggestion. It's a great first food. Full of protein, good fat, and vitamins. I also prefer the organic kind for my child.
Again don't worry if she isn't ready yet - it's actually better in the long run to wait. Lower risk of obesity later in life, allergies, choking, etc. Good luck!

I always fed my children whatever we were eating, invest in a small food chopper, they work well, and ar 10-15 dollars. If it gets to thick add a little milk or water to thin it out while chopping. If your still afraid she's not getting enough, Pediasure makes nutritious drinks and snacks. Sometimes they just go thru stages and she'll eat when she's hungry. Keep her hydrated and she'll be fine. Sometimes it takes 4-5 times of introducing a new food for a baby to like it also, be patient and keep trying. Good luck!!

I have a daughter the same age-shes not interested in baby foods anymore either- She likes gerber puffs in all the flavors, she can pick them up herself and they melt in her mouth so she has never choked on them. She also eats pancakes cut up into tiny pieces, even sausage and hamburger meat, mashed potatoes. Just dont give her anything that has honey in it, but other than that, the rule of thumb is if you can break the food by pressing on it with a fork, that its safe to feed it to her. thats how strong her jaws are now.

She can probably eat whatever you are having... just cut up really small. Also, she could have Stage 2 baby food... stuff with more texture and chunks.
I feed my 8 month old cooked pasta with tomato sauce and pureed broccoli, whole grain toast, mashed banana, applesauce... she doesn't like the jar baby food... it doesn't taste like real food, and it has no texture.

Mashed alvacados are a perfect first food for babies. They are very healthy for them and the natural fats they contain are wonderful for brain development. My 4 year old loves them and they were one of her first foods, along with baby cereals. I prefer the organic brands.

Besides baby food, I also feed my nine month old son oatmeal, cheerios, veggie and fruit puffs, mashed potatos (no extra salt added) and squashed up bananas.

My 8 month previous is the comparable way. regardless of if it relatively is pureed, she needs relatively no longer something to do with it. She might kick, scream, combat, and attempt to hit the spoon away. So i began out giving her tiny bites of my nutrition and she or he loves it. attempt tiny products of banana, avocado, cooked carrot or squash. Then I moved directly to little products of bread, nicely-cooked pasta, and then shreds of cheese or cottage cheese. i will regularly get her slightly "meal" out of regardless of my husband and that i are ingesting. yet she nonetheless gets maximum of her intake from formulation. For snacks she loves Gerber Puffs and the yogurt melts. additionally I even have discovered that she would be able to consume in basic terms slightly of the pureed toddler nutrition if I enable her feed herself. So in actuality I load some up on the spoon and she or he directs it to her mouth. it relatively is relatively messy yet a minimum of she is studying to feed herself.
