I have always loved cats, right now I have a big Maine Coon who is very special to me. Cats have a reputation for being aloof or unloving and I have never found that to be true at all. They are smart, using more than 100 vocal tones (dogs use 10), give love unconditionally, and are easy to take care of. They ask little in return, never judge, and give everything they have. Humans could learn a lot from cats.

I love cats - studies show that cats can help lower one's blood pressure, and can possibly help people live longer. I noticed when I am stressed out, having cats really helps me.

Cats also almost always return the favor when they are loved, and example of this is when I was on my way home from school and saw one of my cats sitting in the window of our apartment on the second floor. He looked at me the entire time I was out on the parking lot, and when I unlocked the door he jumped down off of the window sill and waited at the door for me.

Cats are also very good pets to have if your family is a very busy one; as long as they have food and a litter box they can take care of themselves. However, if you have cats it's important to spend time with them instead of leaving them alone all the time.

Everyone should own at least one cat once in their life.

Why do I like cats? I'll answer that with a question of my own. Ever see a cat owner up at 6 a.m. walking the cat in the rain?

I love cats! I have 3 right now, had 4 until the last half of Dec., They each have their own personalities and it's interesting to see the way they interact. There's a pecking order going on. Before my 4th cat died, he reigned as the king. Two other of the cats were afraid of him because he had been a bully in the past, and they'd hide in the bedrooms. Now they're out and hanging out in the living room and wherever else they please. And they're nice and soft to rub and put your head on while they're purring.

I have 2 and they are as different as night and day. One is wild and crazy and has such an adventurous spirit, the other is just sweet and lovable and so grateful for any attention. He was a stray we adopted, so he understands what's really important in life: food, warmth and love. The wild one is always looking for trouble and often finds it, he's spoiled rotten, sometimes bites, but I still love him. I love them both for their individual personalities, their charm and grace, and their unconditional acceptance of me.
