No, only on computers that is "Ready for Vista". Read the hardware requirements carefully!

or doing an online search on "Vista compatibility". From what I understand, "no", it is designed for the newest generation of computers, many of the older ones (4-6yrs old) can squeeze it on but with unstable performance. You need above average - processor, graphics card, internet connection, memory, and the newer softwares to complement what it will allow to run. With the advances in the computer industry the average consume will have to continue buying a "new" computer every four years. If your computer is four years old you are waisting your time installing a new operating system, it would be best to buy another complete system.

Before looking at the system requirements I suggest you read some articles out there. I've read some articles saying that 1 gig of RAM is not enough. Vista is a huge resource eater.

u can go to google and type "check my computer vista." then the 1st webpage shown will do it for u.
i.e sth like pcistop.com so check that out
