I've never really considered this place to be a pick up joint. There are few posters on here that I hold in high regard due to their answers and sometimes message them outside of the forum to answer questions that I don't want the whole world to know.
That was until, a nice guy messaged me out of the blue about a question I had posted months ago. He seems nice and it is wonderful to have mail (other than junk) waiting for me. Someone to talk to who isn't someone I see every day.

1 you MUST keep Luna inside. No if ands or buts. A declawed cat should never be allowed outside no matter how much they want to go. #2 You now are a perfect person to help keep people from declawing their cats. I realize that you did not approve the declawing but you now have first hand experience of what some of the affects of declawing can be. I feel badly for both you and your poor kitty. Try going to the vet, the same or a different one, and discussing the situation. A cat's paws would not normally still hurt after a year, but removing the toes at the first knuckle (which is what declawing is) drastically changes the delicate balance of the a cat's walk. Weight is shifted and it can cause strain on bones and skeletal structure that wouldn't be there in a cat with claws. Perhaps that is why her feet still hurt, but I would have a vet take a look with possibly an x-ray. Also they may be able to prescribe a medication that will help her calm down.. basically a kitty Prozac. That may help and I have known declawed cats to be on it and it help before. You can also try Feliway which you can buy at a pet store. It is a cat calming pheromone that comes in aerosol or plug in diffuser. I hope you can find help for your kitty. I hope your parents have learned their lesson about declawing. I hope you will become a huge advocate for not declawing! Get on Yahoo answers and tell people Luna's story when they ask about declawing. Give your Luna a hug. I have a Luna, too.

I have met a lot of people on Y!A. I was invited by Yahoo to the Maker's Fair exhibit where Yahoo showcased Y!A, and I met a lot of other users there. I was also invited to the Y!A birthday party along with 50 or 75 other people. I received an award there for my participation. There were a lot fine people there, including many singles.
I personally know of at least two Y!A participants who have "hooked up" through their association here.
