I have a BA in accounting and want to know how much more education I would have to earn, and how much if any, I can do online.

Having a BA and not a BS, you may still need more prerequisites. Typically you need Inorganic and Organic Chemistry, Physics, Calculus as well as some English classes. You may be able to do some of these online, but you will need to do labs for both chemistry courses. Even if you already have some of these credits, depending on when you received your degree, the pharmacy school you choose to attend may require you to take the classes again.

As far as pharmacy school, I don't know of an online pharmacy school that is accredited in the U.S. Again, in pharmacy school labs will be required and most programs are 4 years, though there are more and more schools with a 3 year accelerated program (going year round with no summer breaks).

Many pharmacy schools require the PCAT for admission, http://harcourtassessment.com/haiweb/Cultures/en-US/Harcourt/Community/PostSecondary/Products/pcat/pcathome.htm has the information you would need.

Check out http://www.nabp.net/ , it's the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy. They have links to every state board of pharmacy as well as some international boards.

Your best bet is to look up the pharmacy school(s) you are interested in attending, most will have prerequisites posted as well as application information and curriculum.

There is an incredible amount of knowledge required to be a pharmacist and this just can't be gotten on the internet. I don't think I'd trust a pharmacist that was trained on-line!

No.

You have clinicals to do and the instruction is too intense for online classes.

You have labs, many labs and you cannot do these online or in your own home.

You may be able to take a few classes needed for the degree online such as general ed. but if you already have a degree then you probably already have general ed courses completed.

There are no online pharmacy courses as you have to do to much in the lab plus your clinicals.
