If you cut your calories down to 1200 each day for a couple weeks you should be able to drop the 10# relatively easily.
However, while you don't have time to exercise, try to find three 10-minute intervals each day and do something...walk, jump, run, dance......any type of exercise even in small burst will help even a quicker weight loss.
p.s. if you've never counted calories, just google calorie counters. There are several free ones. Or you can buy calorie counting books for around $10.00 at a book store.

As a wife, mom, college student, job seeker and part time employee, I don't really have the time either, but I found little ways to get exercise.

I walk from the back of parking lots, try to add steps into my day, and I found I can take my books into the fitness center at school so I can study while I walk on a treadmill.

But if you don't feel you can do that, here are some tricks I've used and I've lost 12 pounds since Thanksgiving.

I count calories and watch the portion size. I limit myself to 500 calories below my allowable amount per day and I drink LOTS of water. Four aquafina 16.9 oz bottles per day. I buy the bottles and then reuse them but make sure that I keep them nice and cold.

The less water you drink the more your body holds on to calories. So push the fluids!! Don't eat added sugar foods or added fat foods and slowly but surely you can lose the weight.

UPDATE: The person above me states that if you cut down to 1200 calories per day you will drop 10 pounds in a couople of weeks. Only if you are very large. If you are small (I'm 5 ft 2 in) that will be lost more slowly. You have to know how many calories you are supposed to take in to maintain current height and weight.

Someone else just put this on another answer. THis will give you an idea of how many calories you need to maintain your weight. For every 3500 calories you go in deficit you lose one pound (over the course of a few days).

You have to reduce your calories by 3500 per week to lose a pould a week. So if you burned 3500 a week (which would requre an extra hour or two a day in workouts) you wouldn't have to reduce eating. If you don't have time to exercise, you should eat less. Different people can do that in different ways. If you cut out all foods containing sugar, all alcohol, and white starches and just eat fruit, vegetable, lean meats and whole grains in moderate proportions, you should lose 10 pounds in about 2 months.

I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!

you can run at least for 30min 3 day in each week workout at least once a day and do some push up it helps a lot with anything!
