i started out weighing around 110-111 lbs.
about 3 or 4 months ago i started running on my treadmill, stopped eating fast food, didn't eat anything with tons of carbs or fats, ate less, drank more water, etc and i've only lost about 2-3 lbs.
i've only been losing a pound a month. shouldn't i be losing about a pound a week? what am i doing wrong? what else can i do to quicken weight loss?
btw, i'm 5'1.

the main reason i am trying to lose weight is to get rid of my big butt and semi-big thighs. it's attracting the wrong kind of people.

I can't tell what your build is, but you just might be at your perfect weight for your frame. There is nothing that says " A 5'1" person must weight 105 pounds." If you have a wide frame, you might be fine. Or, if working out on the treadmill is giving you great muscle definition, then weight loss from fat loss is being offset by weight gain from muscle gain.
I know that's not what you want to hear. I'd get a second opinion right now. I'm sure you see all the areas that you are not happy with, but you might want to talk this over with your doctor or a physical trainer to make sure that it will be safe to actively try additional weight loss.
Another thing - you've cut out a lot of calories from your diet. You may not be eating enough to sustain your activity level. When this happens, your body goes into starvation mode and is resistant to weight loss. That might explain why you are not losing weight. Count your calories - if you are eating less than 1,200 calories per day, you need to eat more to lose weight (I know, it doesn't make sense, but I had to do that last year when I was losing weight).

Hmm... Well I think you don't need to lose weight because I know some actually hot girls that weigh a little bit over 110lbs and they're all 9th graders in High School.
But if you're doing this to be in some sort of company, magazine, or whatever, I think it is healthy that you're losing about a pound per month instead of a week.
Why do you wanna be under 110lbs so bad? It's okay.
Your BMI is 20.8, which is very good. Your BMI means that you are normal weighted. If you go over 24.9, your BMI means that you are overweight. Thirty or more means obese.
But you are perfectly normal!
I'll just say that you should cut out fast foods and exercise to MAINTAIN weight instead of lose or gain.
;) Smile!

I am not well educated in this field, though I do know that my mother-in-law went on that diet that they advertise on tv and lost over 100 lbs in about 4 months. It's called Nutri-system, and they base it on the glycemic index, that's the key to losing weight. Once she finished the program, she had learned the correct way to eat and now she cooks and bases her diet on what she learned. It is really working great for her. She says it cost about 10.00 a day, and they send you more food that you can possibly eat. You have to cut out the sodas though. I guess that once you've reached your goal, you could indulge in maybe one diet soda a week. Being as short as you are, the weight really shows, I know I'm 5' 1 1/2"

You are already tiny. At 110 pounds, your calories required to maintain your weight should be 1200-1300. and you would burn about 7 calories a minute on the treadmill. To lose a pound a week, you need to burn and/or reduce your intake 3500 per week.

While you are doing some excellent things, it may be that you are not counting calories correctly,
Try to stay within 1200-1400 calories per day and make sure you are doing things to burn at least 500 calories more per day than you consume. If you do that you should lose about 1 pound per week.
Also, try to make sure you are walking 10,000 steps per day (about 4 miles total)
I've been at this diet and exercise regimen since Thanksgiving and have lost 12 pounds.

You have to cut your cal intake more. 3500 cals is one pound, so if you eat like 1500 cals a day and burn off 500 with the tread you should lose a pound a week. your body burns 1500 cals a day anyway, so this way you are losing 500 cals a day.
