That dandruff is dry skin. All dogs get it around this time of year. The darker your dog's coat is, the more visible it is. My dogs are having the same problem. Unfortunately, bathing them makes it worse and that sucks for the smell but when you do bathe the dog, bathe it with baby shampoo. It's gentle and hypoallergenic. Also, the more you pet and rub him, the more oils his skin will make. That helps also.

Is she an old dog? Some times older dogs get really bad oily skin and flaky dandruff like stuff on there fur. The best thing you can do is take her to the vet so she can be treated the right way. Or if you would rather do it your self they have all kinds of dog shampoos and stuff for dry flaky skin at the store or pet place. Good Luck. I'm sure she will be just fine.

Animals shed or dander only when there is a deficiencey in thier diet. Buy shampoo with Tea Tree Oil in it. Give her an egg mixed in with her food, once a week. Watch the food you buy for her. Make sure the ingredients are all natural. Try Pedigree, or Beneful. When you look at the ingredients, make sure the first one is a meat, not a grain. It's not a threatening condition, just more expensive for you!!

My dog has the same thing, he has this skin disease, but its nothing to worry about. The vet just suggested giving our dog oatmeal bathes, and brushing our dog frequently. Soothing conditioner might also help your dog feel better and not scratch, and end up irritating the skin.
Good Luck!!!

Check her ears to see if the odor is coming from them - she could have a ear infection. How often do you give her a bath? If it's to much you could be drying her skin out.Try a good conditioner with aloe etc.If it doesn't clear up take her to the vet.

Sounds like it may be diet related. Wheat can give a dog dandruff as they are intolerant to it.

It might be dry skin. Give her a bath with dog shampoo that prevents dry skin.

You could get a shapoo for your dog for dandruff and that could also get rid of the smell.
